Keep up to date on recovery progress.

News updates from the Orange-bellied Parrot Recovery Team are released quarterly.  These include:

​

  • April/May: Wild and captive breeding season reports

  • June/July: Updates from the annual Recovery Team meeting and the past year 

  • September/October: Non-breeding season (winter) sightings of OBPs and related activities

  • December/January: The number of returned birds to the breeding grounds in Melaleuca, Tasmania, as of the census date in mid-December
